What is the difference between real estate and education? Not much, according to Sue Greer of Allen Tate Realtors. An educator for more than 23 years in her native New York State, Sue sees an amazing amount of parallels. In education you must be scheduled and detail oriented and real estate is no different.
In 1998 Sue began her career as a Real Estate professional. Every day is different and exciting. There are constantly new challenges. The rewarding aspect comes from the relationships built over the years.
After 10 years in the business, Sue decided to make the move to Allen Tate Realtors. Allen Tate was the “new kid in town” and their place in the market intrigued her. The fact they are one of the leading brokerages in the Carolina’s, along with their affiliation with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, encouraged Sue to rise up to the challenge and join their team. “This move has been one of the best career decisions I have ever made.”
Sue credits a strong relationship with her husband, Steve, as the reason for much of her success. “He is my best friend and strongest supporter.” Sue and Steve met in 1998 and were married in 2003. As a blended family Steve and Sue jokingly refer to themselves as the Brady Bunch. They are now enjoying the next stage of their lives and are enjoying being Grandparents. Together they enjoy taking impromptu trips, entertaining with friends, or simply walking the dogs. But most of all as Sue puts it, “simply spending as much time together as possible.” A graduate of ECU, Steve is in the employee benefits business doing group benefits and all types of life insurance. When she’s not spending time with her family or negotiating a contract, Sue has grown to love the game of tennis. “It is now the biggest part of my life outside of work.” Sue says. She plays on a variety of leagues at the Raleigh Racquet Club and is Captain of the Senior 4.0 Team.
She specializes in Executive and Luxury Level Residential Market. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of real estate including new construction, resale, listings, buyers, and relocation.
